🧹 Kitchen & Dining
- Clean and sanitize benchtops and splashback.
- Scrub stovetop and wipe down the oven front/handle.
- Polish taps and sink (dry completely to prevent water spots).
- Wipe exteriors of appliances (fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster).
- Check inside microwave; wipe away any food splatters.
- Empty the refrigerator and freezer of all perishable leftover food. Wipe shelves.
- Empty, clean, and replace liners in all garbage and recycling bins.
- Empty the dishwasher or drying rack and put all dishes away.
- Inspect plates, glasses, and cutlery for smudges or lipstick marks.
- Restock consumables: 4–6 coffee pods/tea bags, sugar packets, fresh paper towel roll.
- Leave out a brand-new dish sponge and a clean microfiber dishcloth.
- Ensure dish soap and dishwasher tablets are topped up.
🛏️ Bedrooms
- Strip all used bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers).
- Inspect mattress protector and pillows for stains or hair.
- Dust furniture (bedheads, side tables, lampshades, wardrobe exteriors).
- Dust electronic devices (TV screen, remotes).
- Check under the bed and inside drawers for items left behind by previous guests.
- Remake beds with fresh, wrinkle-free, crisp white linens (use hospital corners).

🚿 Bathroom & Laundry
- Scrub and sanitize tiles, bathtub, and shower screen (ensure zero soap scum or hair).
- Clean, sanitize, and polish the toilet (bowl, seat, base, and flush button).
- Polish taps, showerheads, and sink basin.
- Clean and polish the bathroom mirror.
- Empty and sanitize the small trash bin; replace the liner.
- Hang a fresh, clean bath mat over the edge of the tub or on the floor.
- Display fresh towels neatly (2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and 2 washcloths per guest).
- Replenish toiletries: hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
- Provide at least 2 fresh rolls of toilet paper (fold the first sheet into a neat triangle).
🔑 Final Walkthrough (The “Guest Eye” Check)
Before locking the door, stand at the entrance and verify:
- The Smell Test: Does the property smell fresh and clean? (Avoid heavy chemical perfumes; opt for neutral, clean air).
- Lockbox/Smart Lock: Is the key safely back in the lockbox or has the digital code been reset for the incoming guest?
- Welcome Gifts: If you provide wine, chocolates, or a welcome note, are they neatly displayed on the kitchen bench or dining table?

- Desks & Tables: Dust all accessible desk surfaces, side tables, and filing cabinets. (Note: Do not move loose paperwork unless explicitly instructed).
- Electronics: Lightly dust computer monitor bases, desk lamps, and printer exteriors.

- Toilets & Urinals: Thoroughly scrub, sanitize, and polish toilets and urinals. Wipe down the external porcelain and flush handles.
- Sinks & Mirrors: Clean basins, polish taps, and wipe mirrors until entirely streak-free.
- Walls & Partitions: Wipe down splash zones around sinks and sanitise stall door handles.
- Restock Consumables: Fill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and restock toilet paper rolls.
- Floors: Mop the entire bathroom floor with a commercial-grade disinfectant.

- Cobwebs: Scan high corners and ceiling vents; remove any visible cobwebs.
- Dusting: Dust baseboards, window sills, door frames, and accessible air vents.
